Why I'm Running
My commitment to public service has always been rooted in a simple belief: communities are strongest when residents step forward to serve.
Over the years, I have worked in business, nonprofit leadership, and community service, and I have previously run for both State Assembly and State Senate because I care deeply about the future of our region.
Today, I am focused on Monterey because local government has the greatest impact on our daily lives. The decisions made by City Council affect our neighborhoods, our local economy, our quality of life, and our ability to plan responsibly for the future.
After encouragement from community members and local leaders, I decided to run for City Council because I believe Monterey needs thoughtful leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a strong commitment to residents over politics.
This campaign is not about political ambition. It is about giving back to the community that has been my home for more than 40 years.
"Vicki is a neighbor who genuinely cares about Monterey and can be trusted to make good decisions."
